Nine Months

Never finished post from years ago....
Nine months! The average pregnancy lasts about that length, and having experienced that a few times -I have to say the last nine months have been far different than that in some ways, but not so different in others.
We got the call about our new daughter as we visited Lego Land, California. It was no coincidence that she and her birth mommy lived in California. It was no coincidence that we drove there, so a detour to meet she and her mommy was just a matter of new maps. It was no coincidence that Anna and her new siblings connected instantly, and that Rachel mommy and I feel connected in a sacred purpose of mothering sweet Anna. It was no coincidence that James is big and strong and could pass Anna's Daddy test with ease when he and I returned to take Anna home. It was no coincidence that the necessary guardianship paperwork made it through the California courts in under two weeks so that Anna and I could come to Idaho( fairly quickly). It was no coincidence that grandparents, aunts and uncles could help with the other kiddos while we made the necessary arrangements. It was no coincidence that our kindergarten class had one student move out the day we registered Anna, or that she had all three of her siblings in the school with her helping her transition. All of these miracles, and many more lead to getting Anna home.
